Grand Opening Celebration
Thank you for celebrating the Grand Opening of our facility in San Diego!
On November 11, 2022, Healing Wave Aquatics celebrated the official opening of our new aquatic therapy facility. After a decade of providing life-changing trauma-informed aquatic therapy to veterans, active-duty military, and their caregivers who struggle with Post Traumatic Stress in San Diego, Healing Wave Aquatics finally opened our own facility. The facility soft opened in June 2022 and started serving clients.

Groundbreaking Ceremony for Healing Wave Aquatics Facility
2021 Healing Wave Aquatics is on its way to a state-of-the-art facility with two therapy pools to serve our community!
On October 14, 2021, Healing Wave Aquatics celebrated the start of a new chapter with a Groundbreaking Ceremony to kick off construction of the our new aquatic therapy facility.

2020 Healing Wave Aquatics "Resilience Workshop Series" an experience of a variety of webinars about mental health and wellness!
Healing Wave Aquatics Resilience Workshop Series was created to offer educational insights, tools and resources to help you get through the difficult times during the COVID-19 pandemic. With an emphasis on the power of understanding to help heal and grow, the Resilience Workshop Series blends teachings from psychology, science, and wellness practices. Our goal is to offer educational insights to bridge the profound inner learning that comes from aquatic therapy sessions to learning that you achieve at home. We are bridging therapy from water to land.

OUR REASON: Veterans who suffer from PTS may have their symptoms of depression and isolation amplified due to the COVID-19 quarantine and the resulting reduction in mental health services.
OUR GOAL: The Raise 4 the Brave campaign is asking for your support to help our veterans. Our $50,000 goal will provide funding for 250 sessions to upcoming clients once we resume operations.
2019 DATES: Join us May 18 - May 25 for the Raise 4 the Brave online fundraising campaign in conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Week.
WAVES FOR THE BRAVE 5K

WAVES FOR THE BRAVE 5K is a timed trail run and scenic hike on a groomed dirt trail. The 3.1 mile loop includes views of the lake with sections with riparian oaks, a few hills, and a shady start/finish area in a grassy park. The 5K draws attention to the crisis of post-traumatic stress among our veteran population and bring awareness to mental health challenges. Participants receive custom medals and t-shirts. There will be booths with resources for veterans and the community. Awards for top finishers and prizes for top fundraising teams and individual fundraiser. More event information here.
